# Veryplants

> Veryplants makes soil-free potting mixes for houseplants, engineered for specific plant families rather than sold as one general-purpose soil. Three mixes (Molly's Aroid Mix, Molly's Succulent Mix, Molly's Orchid Mix), sold direct in the US and Canada, on Amazon, Etsy and Walmart in both countries, and through independent garden centers, plant shops and distributors across North America.

Veryplants was founded in Montreal in 2020 by Thomas Clegg and Jordan Socran, and has made soil-free potting mixes full time since January 2023. Orders ship from 5 warehouses, 3 in the US and 2 in Canada, so neither country waits on a border. Free shipping in Canada on orders over $100 CAD. Rated 4.8 out of 5 across more than 4,000 verified reviews on Amazon, Shopify and Etsy.

The mixes contain no soil. They are built from bark, pumice, lava, coir, charcoal, Akadama, Hyuga and perlite in proportions chosen per plant family, which is what gives each mix its drainage rate, air-filled porosity and structure in the pot.
